Still Standing Alliance

Thank you for last week

Intro

Interesting week
fast, felt like I was driving, busy at school, bright spots, Amazing Grace, met with a church, made a couple new aquaintaces, a step closer to a biz relationship
my list keeps getting longer, whack it down and then it multiples
I had to be real with myself...
I don’t like where I am because of what I can see coming.
The problem, I don’t know when it will show up.
Maybe you’ve been there...
More vision than money
More have to than want to - have to pay college I want to________
Have to stay at said budget but your wants are in a different tax bracket
Problem, it’s been like this for too long. Prophetic words, every new person is saying what the last ones have said. Keep ordering and re-ordering, etc. but nothing yet. As a matter of fact the starting line continues to move out further.
Question: Who does the doctor go to when he get’s sick?
There comes a time that I’ve got to believe what I preach. I grabbed the Bible and stumbled across:
Galatians 6:9–10 NKJV
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:9 NKJV
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Self-pity weeps on the devil’s shoulder, turning to Satan for comfort. His invitation is: “Come unto me all you that are grieved, peeved, misused, and disgruntled, and I will spread on the sympathy. You will find me a never-failing source of the meanest attitudes and the most selfish sort of misery. At my altar you may feel free to fail and fall, and there to sigh and fret. There I will feed your soul on fears, and indulge your ego with envy and jealousy, bitterness and spite. There I will excuse you from every cross, duty, and hardship, and permit you to yield unto temptation.”

App: I recognized this was an opportunity to NURSE and REHEARSE all that was wrong. But I made the resolve to DISBURSE the reality of my present and hang my hope on the hope of my future.
I cannot dismiss what I was feeling: perpetually tired
Pt: Sometimes you have to make up in your mind “no matter how I feel now, this isn’t the end.” I-clare-fo-God this morning I felt better.
What I got from

He Warns Us of “Weary”

Question: What can make my world grow weary?
Weary comes when we...
A1: What I’m doing
good (moral concept) n. — moral excellence or admirableness.
doing good stuff is tiring
A2: What I’ve forgotten
gal 6:9 “for in due season we shall reap.”
there can be no reaping if there has been no sowing.
Galatians 6:8 NKJV
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Pt: I forgot…I’m not waiting for magic to happen, i’m waiting for nature to work!
A3: What you’re doing
Galatians 6:6 NKJV
6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
I’ve struggled here. my feelings get hurt.
we’ve noticed that joining the church has a different meaning-because of the state of the church.
what you get when you come hasn’t changed.
Romans 15:27 NKJV
27 It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things.
Become- a process

Reaping Is Right

Saying 1: You can’t understand my glory if you don’t know my story.
Saying 2: Don’t judge my harvest if you don’t understand my seed.
Genesis 8:22 NKJV
22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
“If you don’t like the season you’re just wait.”
When you’ve sown wrong in the wrong field you will get a wrong harvest
Galatians 6:8 NKJV
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
gal 6.
you can’t watch crap all week and feel holy!

Retreating Won’t Work

I observed about myself that my prayer life wasn’t fresh.
Luke 18:1 NKJV
1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
revelation about prayer, pray when you feel like it, pray when you don’t!
2 Corinthians 4:1 NKJV
1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.
Question: What the ministry?
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 cor 3:
Answer: I’m being changed!!!!
2 Thessalonians 3:13–15 NKJV
13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. 14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
2 Thes 3:13-
If i want the harvest, I can’t quit.
With ALLLLLLLLLLL of this Bible, and a truth and principle, what was I going to do practically?
Symptoms:
wandering, not focussed, no desire for Scripture, no prayer time.
“Wait a minute. I’ve been here before. These are the feelings I had when I burned out.” I made one change…become intentional!

July 1977 was the Great Black Out of New York
The city was completely black but there in the middle of the Hudson - between NY and NJ was large metal statue that was emitting light.
After further study and understanding, it was realized that though associated with NY, it’s plugged into the NJ power grid.
App: You can’t give off what you aren’t plugged into.
I can’t expect more if I’m not where I need to be.
I’m frustrated…
What does the Word say
How do I find contentment when you can see more coming
I’m made for it
If you stay ready you’ll always be ready
Proverb about the ant
What do you do?
Keep putting in work gal be not wearyRefocus don’t let yourself get weary ‘get yourself together.’Think about the future you shall reap ‘you will reap’
The church at Galatia was responsible for keeping the leader refreshed.
I’m concerned that I get ahead of God
ex. Moses
I figured out
Seasons change
God’s timing
